Editorial policies and author guidelines
The journal promotes all aspects of the biology of cultivable or wild plants accompanying crops since 1953. It offers open access publication of original research papers, short communications and reviews, written in English, dedicated to flora and phytocenoses of anthropogenically transformed areas, bee pastures, nectariferous and polleniferous taxa, plant-pollinator relationships, urban and rural habitats for entomofauna, aerobiology, cultivated plants, plant pathogens and parasites.

The journal logo denotes essential trio: water, nutrition, reproduction. These are the prerequisites of human survival and the long-term potential of our species: drivers of life, genetic variability, evolution. They are essential in a variety of life cycles. They combine different levels of biological organization – from the molecular and cellular levels to the ecosystem. Each element is precisely defined and specific in function. They complement each other and are fundamental in passing genetic information, development of unique characteristics of individuals, each with a distinct function. They have persisted since the beginning of life on Earth and are essential for the continuity of life. Our existence would be threatened without them.
