Higher fungi on the Morskie Oko dale in the Tatra

Abstract


Results are Reported of investigation on the mykoflora of the postglacial dale Morskie Oko in Tatra Mountains in the period 1958-1966. Exploration of this region supplied 149 species of higher fungi. Some characters of the fruiting bodies, connected with the specific habitat and Tatra microclimate are discussed and is the problem of fungi protection in Tatra.
