Abstract
The utilization of solar energy in photosynthesis has been studied in 20 varieties of Triticum durum belonging to the 12 botanical forms found in the collection of The Institute of Plant Breeding and Acclimatization, Radzikow n. Warsaw. We have found that the solar energy used in photosynthesis, expressed as % of the solar radiation (cal*cm-2) accumulated in the carbon of the dry matter per cm! of the aerial part of the different varieties of T. durum reaches the mean values of 2,23% to 3,80%.
