The Monographiae Botanicae was founded in 1953. It is a monographic series that offers Open Access publication of original research monographs in a field of botany such as plant ecology, phytogeography, taxonomy of plants and fungi (including lichenized fungi). It also aims at publishing interdisciplinary, experimental and theoretical studies. A special emphasis is paid to studies of a long duration and those based on a large data sets. Monographs appearing in this series are of a greater length in comparison to those published in other scientific publications. This is because of a comprehensive insight into research problems. Submissions are therefore required to include all of the source materials.
