PhD studies in Germany (Marburg)

Prof. Diethart Matthies (Plant Ecology, Department of Ecology, Faculty of Biology, Philipps-University Marburg) is looking for candidates for a three year PhD-position in plant population biology / conservation biology. The position should be filled as soon as possible. The subject of the PhD is not yet fixed and can be developed with the successful applicant. The position encompasses two hours of teaching in practical / field courses per week during term time, but these hours could also be given as a couple of blocks. Applicants must have a master’s degree in biology or similar and should have good statistical skills and ideally also a knowledge of flora and vegetation. Applications should be sent by email (matthies@staff.uni-marburg.de). Application deadline – January 31, 2019.
