Abstract
24 guaianolides and I germacranolide have been found so far in Centaurea bella Trautv. 15-deoxyrepin is another guaianolide, obtained in a similar way as previous compounds - by column chromatography, and identified by means of spectral analysis (1H NMR, MS, IR). Proposed are chromatographic systems allowing the separation of two types of guaianolides: with an ester at C-2 - characteristic for C. bella and at C-8 - typical for other species of the genus Centaurea L.
