Variability of the Polish species of the genus Riccardia (Hepaticae, Aneuraceae). II. Culture material

Maria Menelak

Abstract

Detailed investigations both numerical and experimental were performed on 38 samples of populations of three species of the genus Riccardia from the territory of Poland: R. latifrons, R. palmata and R. chamedryfolia. The intraspecific variability was found to be of genetic character in the first two species. The results gave ground to describe two new varieties: R. latifrons var. minor and R. palmata var. maior.
