Abstract

An investigation was carried out on the occurrence of the fungus Lophodermium pinastri (Schrad.) Chév. in pine stands and which were in highly industrialized areas with a high level of toxic air pollutants. The basis for estimating the occurrence were the signs of this pathogen on dead pine needles in the litter. In all 57 thousand needles from 57 pine stands of different age were analysed.
