Abstract
The researches were done in years 1971-1973 on a permanent meadow in Jaktorów near Warsaw. The samples of overground meadow vegetation were taken from two levels: over 5 em above soil level (agricultural harvest) and from 0 to 5 cm (the mass that rests on meadow after harvest). The underground mass was taken following strata: from 0 to 5 cm and for each 10 cm up to the depth of 50 cm. It was found that the overground mass of meadow vegetation (by manuring doses 214 kg NTK/ha) is 25 to 30%, and the agricultural harvest 13-15% of the total biomass.
