Abstract

From Anemone coronaria cucumber mosaic virus (Cucumis virus 1 Smith) was isolated. It caused a general chlorosis, reduction of leaves blades and of the whole plants. 66 species of test plants were inoculated with the sap from infected cucumber plants. 33 of these were infected systemically and 11 only locally. Among 22 noninfected plants was Anemone coronaria which indicated as it was experimentally proved, that this species is infected only by the aphids – Myzus persicae Sulz.
