Abstract


Fusicoccum canker of highbush blueberry was first detected in 1973 in Poland. The diseases appeared on the shoots of variety Jersey in the collection of the Department of Pomology, Agricultural University, Warsaw-Ursyn6w. The disease was caused by the fungus Godronia cassandrae f. vaccinii {Peck.) Groves. The conidial stage is known as Topospora myrtilli (Felfch.) Boermema syn. Fusicoccum putrefaciens Shear.
