\nCell polyploidisation in plants is mainly achieved by endoreduplication or endomitosis. Endoreduplication is often described as a process or variant cell cycle, in which cells amplify their genome without chromatin condensation, chromosome segregation or cytokinesis, leading to the production of chromosomes with 2n chromatids without any change in chromosome number. This process is common in plants and animals, especially in tissues with high metabolic activity, despite but of this, little is known about the physiological role and mechanism regulating this process. It is not clear wheather endoreduplication is genetically programmed or is a consequence of the diferentiation. In this paper we review data on physiological signifi cance polyploidisation, especially endoreduplication in plants, and data about molecular mechanism regulating this process.

\nSaxifraga hirculus, an endangered species, is protected under II Annex Nr 1992\/43\/EEC. Protocol of in vitro plant regeneration from seeds and shoots was established. Obtained rooted plantlets were acclimatized and grown in the Botanical Garden in Powsin.

\nSetna rocznica ostatniego wydania Flora von Pommern Wilhelma M\u00fcllera [The 100th anniversary of the last edition of \u2018Flora von Pommern\u2019 by Wilhelm M\u00fcller]

\nThe first edition of Flora von Pommern by Wilhelm M\u00fcller was published in 1898, and following ones in 1904 and 1911. The work was among the most often cited botanical works concerning the Pomerania in floristic publications after 1945. Popularity and significance of M\u00fcller\u2019s \u2018Flora\u2019 were the result from a wide range of work (full review of Pomeranian flora) and lack of further publications of this type. The book contains descriptions of the species of Pomeranian flora, a key to species identification and data about occurence of species, for rare taxa presented as a list of sites. First edition of the work got many critical reviews from Paul Ascherson and Paul Graebner. They pointed out numerous errors and lacking information about species\u2019 distribution, plant systematics and other topics. After second edition critical opinions about work were published by Fritz R\u00f6mer \u2013 botanist and teacher from Polzin (present Po\u0142czyn Zdr\u00f3j). The topic of discussion was lack of used sources regarding sites of Pomeranian flora and again mistakes in data about distribution of some species. M\u00fcller corrected the mistakes in successive editions of his work, so the latest edition of 1911 can be used as a source of information on Pomeranian flora at the turn of 19th and 20th century.
